Advocating for Openness in Local Government

The Transparency Project of Georgia is a grassroots public advocacy project that promotes openness in local government, advocates for citizens who believe their rights of access have been denied, helps to give journalists another voice as they strive to serve as a public watchdog and provides important information for public officials regarding the ethics of government transparency.

We constantly remind ourselves, and at every opportunity remind anyone else who is listening, that government belongs to the governed and not to the governing.
